Brian - @weezmgk Tom - @SydneyTom_ Bib Bishop - Actually turned the gears down in his shop. Couldn't have done it without Bob! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GET SMARTER SECTION: A quick clarification.... It took me 8 months to learn how to do this, but I was only picking up the bike and running to the end of the driveway and back every day. I wasn't "ACTIVELY" trying to learn. Meaning... I wasn't struggling and trying to make my brain learn. I simply got on the bike every day, tried to operate it to the end of the driveway, turned around and tried to operate it back. The goal was to understand how my brain figured things out on its own, without trying to force it to. Many people have built bikes like this and figured it out in much less than 1 day by staying on the bike until they were able to master it. I had no timelines, and was using this as an exploratory activity to learn how I learn. Do not misinterpret this to mean that I struggled and tried very hard every day for 8 months. That's simply not true. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tweet ideas to me https://twitter.com/smartereveryday I'm also on Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit http://instagram.com/smartereveryday https://www.facebook.com/SmarterEveryDay http://www.reddit.com/r/smartereveryday If you like what I do and want to support my efforts to create Smart kids and Smarter Every Day here are a couple of links you can use to help. 1. Hey! Dustin, did it affect your ability to drive a car or any activity that includes recognizing left from right side?
  2. wait a second guys he have a twin search bekers lab his twin plays coc im not kidding
  3. How about trying to ride the bike and vibrate the handle as quick as possible left and right and at the same time to accelerate the bike forward as quick as possible. This way the average direction of the path is more around the center and you catch more momentum early on by accelerating
  4. knowledge ≠ understanding
I believe that would make a great tattoo.
  5. Do you ride motorcycles? Would a motorcyclist fare better being experienced with counter-steering?
  6. Demonstrates a child has more neural plasticity.. BS. some guy learnt to do it in under 2 hours and he's around 24.
  7. i went to a gypsy fair and there was one of those bikes there, i tried it and couldnt do it but there was this kid there that could ride it like a normal bike
  8. What about learning it with training wheels for the first few weeks? Thats how most children learn at first, and its getting the direction of the turning right first, before you learn to balance(?)

Maybe it will take you a shorter time to learn it
  9. I know every one says this but i fly RC i am used to my controls being inverted very quickly and ive been riding motorcycles and bicycles for my whole life and i am a very fast learner i could ride it in less than a day maybe less than an hour i am willing to try and possibly i will make my own.
  10. Just invert Y-axis
  11. I am 8 and it took me 1 day to get used to a bike without training wheels!!!
  12. this video deserves a LIKE
  13. Welders are often smarter than engineers. Are you kidding me...!?

Welders are always know how to fooling engineers..😎
  14. 1:46 RIP
  15. I would have placed training wheels on the bike and took that 200 bucks home.
  16. You should've brought that bicycle to Amsterdam....cause if the Dutch can't ride that bicycle than no one can!
  17. welders are smart
  18. When I first learned to ride a bike, someone was pushing me. Would it have been easier to learn while at speed rather than starting at rest?
  19. @SmarterEveryDay What if you ride it with your hand constantly wobbling from the very start of your learning process. Would the frequent movement balance out your body on the bike and keep you on the bike?
