8. The Fifth Element seemed to have the most realistic version of the future. Because in real life, all the old tech and architecture doesn't just go away, it mingles with the new tech for a long time. All the dirt and imperfection inherent in a human's touch is still very much present and everything that floats isn't always shiny and clean (you're still going to have to get your hover cars WASHED). Like that asian guy in his simple, floating restaurant. Or the dank alleyways and window rails on the sides of buildings. The future won't suddenly arrive just because we all raise an imaginary number in our heads one digit higher. It comes...One. Step. At. A. Time.
