2. The funny thing is that it is safer to box bare knuckle then it is with boxing gloves. The most damage comes from your head repeatedly rocking back and forth not the actual impact. In bare-knuckle boxing you are hit significantly less than with gloves.

5. heres the thing i dont get, maybe someone can enlighten me. as far as i know, the gloves in boxing and mma arent necessarily there to lessen the blows. thats part of it, but its mostly to protect the hands and wrists. mike tyson, world renowned boxer, once got in a street fight and broke his wrist. in the video, andy topliffe even says how his hands are deformed because of the fighting. the thing i dont understand is, why not wear something? keep the rules, or lack there of, as they are, because thats what people seem to enjoy, but wear something to protect your hands from the damage.
