On Saturday, October 11, Open House New York (OHNY) opened up the former TWA terminal at JFK from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. After running a cross-country race, I headed home, showered, and my dad and I quickly left for New York City (Queens). While searching for parking both my dad and I realized finding parking could take time so my dad let me off before him. From there, I crossed one foot in front of the other until I entered the terminal. What a sight! What an occasion! Designed by architect Eero Saarinen! I could not believe that after three years of waiting and missing, I was finally inside of the unused terminal. Enjoy the slideshow! By the way, at one point in the video, you will notice that I suddenly seem to look younger. Those photos are from late June of 2012.
