What Is The History Of Your Organization?

Concept, photos, videos, examples, construction

I recently marveled in the famous, historical architecture of the Arc de Triomphe while in Paris. The city is full of history and that is a lot of what makes it a wonderful place. That really got me wondering how often organizations think about their history. There are many companies that are well over 100 years old... how many of those have retained the history of where they came from and their original values? Employees need to know the history of their organization to understand the challenges it has overcome and incorporate that into how they work. This will reap a sense of pride and purpose in their work instead of employees just showing up to get paid with no meaning. So I challenge you this week to remember your organization's history and consider how you can incorporate it into the present and future! ---------------------------------------------- ABOUT THE FUTURE IN FIVE The Future in Five is a regular video series where best-selling author, speaker, and futurist Jacob Morgan shares his ideas, insights, and commentary around the future of work in five minutes or less!
